I’m in the same situation as you. I already found it difficult to cook for two now that we are empty nesters and that is compounded by me wanting to change up our menu to incorporate new healthy choices. My husband will eat what I prepare but says it leaves him feeling hungry. I compromise by letting him see the menu item and choosing a side to go with it that he likes but I will avoid. He graciously waits for me to be otherwise occupied before he pulls out something to snack on later in the evening. He wasn’t happy when I got rid of junk food out of the kitchen and replaced it with some items that he has put in his home office. I’m hoping that there will be a gradual move over to the healthy side when he sees the success I have been having. Good Luck!
