My sister, who I haven’t seen in over 6 years, is on a business trip to my home state this week! I had no idea she would be this close by until my mother mentioned it last Saturday. My sister did finally call two days ago to tell me to expect a box of fresh lemons in the mail; they had just arrived (mmm, so good). Anyway, we have decided to meet for dinner before she flies home. Thursday, I will drive 3+ hours to the metro area hotel where she is staying, dine with her, and then spend the night in her suite. She has a 6 AM flight the next morning… I know I am going to cheat. I have been exercising and actually gaining weight lately. I think this short break will do me some good psychologically. I’ll try not to go completely overboard, as in a decadent desert like Fudge Overboard! I think a visit with my always-has-been-thin sister will encourage me.
