Sonalee, do you eat fish? Eggs are allowed, so you could start getting creative with egg dishes. Certain beans are also allowed. Edamame is allowed and is high in protein. Black beans are allowed. Alternatively you could have a protein shake for a meal. I eat a lot of low fat cottage cheese and low fat Greek yogurt. Protein powder will also be your friend. Spinach had a little protein in it. If you eat fish there will be absolutely no issue with protein. Otherwise stick to some of the items I mentioned. You can go to the forum area and look in the vegetatarian posts.
Don’t be afraid! You can totally do this diet as a vegetarian!!
