Hello, thanks for your questions. They help others too!
Typically Turkey Jerky is best made at home in a dehydrated if you have it. Nick’s Sticks are also not terrible to try if you can’t homemake them…
Pistachios are not allowed in phase 1, but if there is an allergy to almonds a substitution should be okay. Usually you can get around 40 pistachios to every 25 almonds. Almonds are really the only approved nuts in phase 1, anything else will typically be phase 2. Regarding the chicken dogs, they are likely to be processed, and or contain sodium etc. that just basic chicken won’t have and it is best to just stick to the approved foods list with as minimal subs as you can be for optimal success. Try not to look for substitutions, and the program will be much simpler to follow 🙂
Dry roasted are the same as raw as far as quantity is concerned as long as they truly are dry roasted, and not roasted in oil…
Regarding the eggs: 2 whole eggs = 1 protein but you also have to count them as 1 fat. Egg whites are only counted as protein. When in doubt look at serving sizes and then divide all. If it has 2 eggs but says 2 servings then it’s 1/2 serving of protein and fat.
Hope this helps!
