What I did to prepare was to map out my meals for the week ahead of time in a journal. this includes the amount of calories for each ingredient. Then I go shopping. My menu is flexible. For example, this morning my menu said to have 2 eggs and a cup of mushrooms. I substituted the mushrooms for green beans (since I had a lot of them), but I also made sure I wrote down the correct calorie amount as I want to keep my intake to 1000 or less a day. If you’re a busy person, try and prepare foods that keep and you can take with you, like chicken, fruits and nuts.
Make sure you exercise. Keep track, if you can of the calories you burn since you’ll be able to add in more food. Drink lots of water, which is hard for me.
