Hi! Lindajg here. I have to say I’m very disappointed with the average weight loss I’ve experienced. I’ve been in Phase 1 for 40 days and have lost only 12 pounds. Based on the advertising, I expected to lose at least 15-20 pounds by now. It took me 3 weeks to figure out what I could and could not eat even from the approved food list. I discovered I couldn’t eat the three meals and two snacks without gaining weight. In addition, I had to closely monitor when I ate and what I ate. I finally figured out I couldn’t eat any beans, avocados, tomatoes, two fruits a day, and the protein shakes without stalling or gaining weight. I am using the recipes listed on this website for the Phase 1 and following the less than 5 oz protein guide, but I’ve had to modify some of the recipes to remove the items I found caused me to gain weight. I’ve had issues with vitamin and iron deficiencies even though I am eating more vegetables and proteins than I had previous to being on the diet. I am eating two eggs per day for breakfast. I finally had to take a strong multivitamin and iron supplement because I was experiencing bruising on my legs and fatigue. I have exercised periodically but because of the fatigue have not been able to regularly exercise. I am on medicine to regulate my thyroid so I know my thyroid isn’t causing the problem. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this diet to anyone!
