Well, I am a week ahead of you. I think that you are going to do just fine!
I just finished my first week and lost 3.2 pounds. That is a huge amount for me. On other diets, my weight has gone up and down like a toilet seat! The key for me has been weighing and tracking my food. I log anything that goes in my mouth on my phone or computer.
