It depends on what else is in the recipe, is there some wort of oil? If so what kind? If yes, just be sure it is a limited amount and it would be just fine as a phase 1 snack option. Make sure to track the calories sufficiently I believe chickpeas are 100 calories per 1/2 cup, if I remember correctly.
