Yes, I am over 65 and have been a caretaker for my husband for a year and a half. I did OK for myself in the first part of the year, but the second part of the year wore me out. Naturally, as I usually do when I am stressed, I gained weight. I could kick myself now because thankfully my husband is feeling better, and I am feeling worse (about myself.) I have not lost a lot of weight so far on PS1000 but I will count this first week as adjustment. I hope to reach my goal by the end of the 90 days. Best wishes, Everyone!
July 19, 2017 at 11:35 am #18282Hey Linda @ladylin62 Congrats on the loss. I weighed this morning and am extatic with 4 pound loss. But going from 2400 to 1000 calls per day is a huge change. I’m pumped to keep going!
July 24, 2017 at 1:03 pm #18403Thanks @CathieLeighG, I have completed 1 week and feel good!
July 24, 2017 at 3:52 pm #18408Today is my first day…so far so good, but we’ll see how it goes when I skip my ice cream for dessert after dinner! The comments in this forum are so inspiring!
July 24, 2017 at 4:32 pm #18409Hi Carol,
I just finished my first week and I’m 9 pounds lighter. First few days I missed my sweets too, but I kept telling myself to keep my eye on the prize.
Good luck!July 27, 2017 at 2:22 pm #18463Congrats @ladylin62! Down 9 in a week! Whoot Whoot. I’m down 6 in 1st week and feel I can do this for a long time. Have to confess that I’m not limiting myself to 1000 cals per day. I’m over that a few hundred/day. We can do this!
July 29, 2017 at 12:38 am #18482I’may back! Lost 12 pounds in 2 months and then fell off track but did maintain. I want to loose 25 more. I’m happy with 6 pounds a month. I know it helps when I walk and add steps to my day. Waiting for my order.
July 29, 2017 at 11:05 am #18489Hey @Beverly, sounds like you are doing great. Getting off track and holding, that is huge. Our bodies keep trying to get back to where they started, so you must have increased your metabolism. Way to go!
August 1, 2017 at 11:11 am #18548I’m down another 1.5 that makes 7 pound loss since I started. I can’t believe how quickly I’m loosing weight! All on less than 2 weeks. I don’t feel deprived.
August 3, 2017 at 4:47 pm #18592I’m still working it and having success. But I have to stop weighing everyday. That can be frustrating up 1.5 down 2.0 ??? But I know I’m gonna be successful! Slow and steady, like a turtle!
August 6, 2017 at 5:39 pm #18630All of these posts sure are encouraging! I too am over 65 and will be starting this week when my package arrives. So ready to lose these last pounds and feel better. Have been overweight most of my life but realized I needed to make changes and started trying to lose weight about two years ago. Slow progress but I am determined to get there. Sounds like this plan does work but just have to be committed and patient. I think I have to finally accept this is not just a diet that we can do and then go back to our old habits, this has to be a lifestyle change! So will be working on that with the understanding I have a lifetime of bad habits to change.
August 13, 2017 at 4:30 pm #18776I am feeling great, following the plan for 3 weeks now. I’m down 12 pounds. Very happy with my results. I am eating about 1400 cal per day. I try to get in 100+ ounces of water, but that’s really hard. I usually get in 80. So the hardest part for me is the water. So happy to be making progress.
August 13, 2017 at 5:14 pm #18777Hi Everyone,
I’m 68 and just joined. Like everyone else I have been on every diet known to man. At this point I just want to lose the 20 pounds I have put on recently. I am a sugar addict. If I could just kick that I think I could do OK. Does anyone else struggle with craving sugar at night. After dinner I just immediately start craving and nothing seems to help. I even have it in my mind that sugar helps me sleep!!! Really??? I’m hoping the drops will help with this ongoing struggle. I gave it up once for two years and lost 30 pounds. Once I used it again, back came the weight and back came the craving! I’m so afraid I am one of those who just won’t be able to ever eat sugar again and I really don’t know if I can live with that. Anybody else have these issues?Attachments:

Hi Toni,
Have you tried having a protein shake? I use almond milk in mine with a few pieces of fruit.August 16, 2017 at 10:23 am #18837 - AuthorPosts
