Hi everyone – I am on day one too – and wondering about my coffee. I know I should not have creamer so I made my coffee with 1 stevia and added 3 ounces of almond milk. It’s really really sweet and thin – my question is – can I mix plain coffee with the protein shake to have a coffe protein shake for breakfast? I’m not a big breakfast person anyway so that will continue to be a challenge for me. Any advice would be appreciated.

July 23, 2017 at 5:00 am #18372Hi Chelle! Welcome! You can totally make a coffee smoothie. There are a couple of recipes online under beverages. You can add protein, yogurt and almond milk. Try a chocolate option for a mocha! I also like to sneak things like ground flax and chia seeds into my smoothies. You could also add some anti inflammatory spices like cinnamon or tumeric (that will stain things) to your smoothies. Good luck! If you want other smoothie ideas aside from those posted I can send you a link to an online recipe book – does pumpkin pie smoothie sound yummy??
July 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm #18378Ooh that sounds great thanks. I did actually find the recipes after I posted but couldn’t figure out how to unpost. Another question – does the coffee have to be cold to make the smoothies?
October 27, 2017 at 12:28 am #20440Cold coffee helps if you use things like yogurt. And do you want a hot, warm or cold drink? Your choice totally. I bought a cold brew coffee carafe. If you have a French press that works too. Put coffee in the fridge overnight for 12-18 hours depending on how strong you like your coffee. Plunge it down in the morning and you are set! Or make coffee at dinner and put it in the fridge before bed.

November 1, 2017 at 1:03 am #20521Hi Jess,
I like to add a scoop of Amazing Greens to my protein drink (just 30 calories). Chocolate or the chocolate peppermint might be just the thing. I like doing this as an afternoon energizer. - AuthorPosts
