So I have never been a fan of cottage cheese but since I am stepping out of my box and trying new healthy foods I though I would give it a try. I picked what I thought was a healthy brand (Darigold) and used it in my recipe. Well today I found and interesting fact. All Cottage cheese is not created equally. They were out of my brand so I went with the one on sale. After speaking with the dairy guy he explained that the Daisey brand actually only has 4 ingredients where my brand is full of extra stuff. I went with the Daisey and it was delish. SO much cleaner tasting then the other. I guess the take home is read your labels even if is you think it is healthy it may still contain artificial stuff we can all do without.

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0I love the cinnamon idea – definitely going to try that. Also, I love putting a serving of cottage cheese and a serving a fresh raspberries in the blender for a couple of quick pulses and you get a raspberry cheesecake pudding. It is my dessert when the rest of the family indulges in sugar.

I’ll eat cottage cheese with sliced fresh fruit, like peaches or apples. Adding cinnamon and nutmeg helps. I’m going to try the blender pudding. It sounds good. Thanks for posting it.
