Hello my name is Sabrina and I am new to PS1000!! I just started last Friday and I’m down 4.8 and I’m so happy I feel better then I have I so many years! In just this one week I feel like I have more energy in the morning and just generally more focused at work and with my kids! I do have a question though about exercising this early. In the book it says to increase drops and food intake when started a 60 min workout regiment but I can not do 60 mins right off the bat, it has been YEARS since I worked out so I wanted to start with maybe a brisk walk or a 15min elliptical. I know the calories burned in that arent a lot but I want to build up so I wondering if I have to increase anything for that type of exercise? Please help

You don’t have to increase your calories for exercise that lasts less than 60 minutes. I started out doing 15 minutes and worked my way up to 30 minute interval training on the elliptical. I highly recommend you start slow and build up especially if you haven’t worked out in a while.
I hope this helps!

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Hi Sabrina,
I workout 4-5x a week and only days I lift heavy weights that I add in an additional apple or more protein. I know I need it even though I had worked for only 40mins. I think my body just screams for more, however, when I do spinning or yoga for 45 mins, I usually stay in the 1000 cals. Hopefully that helps.May 15, 2017 at 6:11 pm #16337Everyone’s body is so different. I remember back when I did Weight Watchers and my cousin always used her ‘extra’ points and could still lose but if I ever used any of those points, then I’d be guaranteed to not lose. I walk my dogs daily, but don’t really count that as exercise. Only if I bust a serious sweat will I count it as exercise.
May 18, 2017 at 4:17 pm #16467Thank you everyone for the feed back! I started night classes this week so I decided to hold off til June 1 to start any exercise cause I’m in Massage Therapy School so I’m already doing more activity then before.
