AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Hi, my name is Doug, 59 years old from the Seattle area. I weighed in this morning at 228 lbs. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. I’m excited about the recipes. I love to cook (hence, the weight gain). I have followed a plan such as this a few years ago and lost a great amount of weight, so I know I can do this. Will be looking for support and suggestions from you that have the knowledge. Any tips are greatly welcome. Off I go………..

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0It does get easier the longer you go. The secret is in the planning and preparation work. I find if I do that my week is so much better.
Welcome to you all!April 19, 2017 at 4:16 am #15185
AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Krista,
Good luck to you and Doug. I’m through my first day without to much anxiety. Did 38 minuets on the treadmill (2.5 miles) so I’ll sleep well tonight. Let me know how you progress.
Thanks, DougApril 19, 2017 at 4:18 am #15186
AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Thank you Shirley. Yes, planning is so needed. Have my food bought, menu set. All I need to do is execute!

DougApril 23, 2017 at 1:40 am #15324Hi everyone,
My first day is tomorrow and I did a program like this a couple of years ago and it worked. This plan seems to have more of a formula regarding protein/fat/vegetable/fruit ratios. Do all of you make all of your own weekly plans?Cheers,
Sheri

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Hi Sheri and welcome to the group. I think you will really like this program. I see it more as a lifestyle change than a diet as I have been on many diets over the years and I am tired of in again off again diets.
I do my own meal planning and preparation but you can download a free 7 day meal plan from the Member Store by clicking on the link above. There is also one on the Member Store that you can purchase. Our Facebook page is also good with support and in the files of that page you will also find more meal plans that others have used. I wish you much success with the program.
ShirleyApril 24, 2017 at 5:49 am #15404Thank you Shirley for reaching out to me! I have never had a support group before in a lifestyle change before…so I am excited for the support!
Let’s do this!!!
:-))April 24, 2017 at 1:34 pm #15423I planned out the entire week on Saturday, and then went to the grocery store. To be completely honest, I spent far less with the ‘real’ food than I typically do with the processed stuff. I read an article, I think it might have been on here, about ways to be smart at the grocery store, it talked about only staying on the perimeter of the store, which is basically produce, dairy, meat … so that totally makes sense. I’m on day 3, in spite of my headaches, I’m in a pretty good mood about all this! 🙂

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Well, today is day 7 so I had to weight myself. Down 6 lbs.!!! Pretty damn proud of myself, since part of my employment is monitoring special events for a City Municipality. This weekend I oversaw 6 different events, 4 with great food. One of the perks of my job, is to be fed well by these people. I resisted the temptations, worked out everyday and it payed off. Best wishes to all of you newbies, if I can do it, you can!

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Good job Cory,
I didn’t experience the headaches like I thought I would. A little bit of low energy, but that’s about it. Been sleeping well too.
Keep it going…. DougApril 26, 2017 at 4:08 am #15531You did very well Doug Keep up the good work. I’m still waiting for my order. Hope it comes soon.
