Hi All! Just completed 2 weeks and into my 3rd. I’m losing the weight very slowly, but I’m losing!!! I feel way healthier since being on the phase 1 plan. I was super confused at first. What really helped me was the free one week meal plan that I downloaded from the member store. It comes with a grocery list also. I stuck to it exactly, and it was super easy to follow. Easier than trying to figure out my own meals. When I have enough Karma Coins, I think I’ll order the other one week plan that you pay for or use K-coins for.
    I’m really sticking to this!!!

Me too. I’m in my third week. Lost 1lbs the first week. No its going a little slower. But loosing those first 1lbs motivated me to keep going. I’m 53yrs old and hit my highest weight ever after menopause. Now I should start loosing according to the doctor. My menopause is done. I have been on several diets. They all failed. I really like this PS1000. No hassles.

That was 11 lbs. not 1 lb. Human error.

Great job, Rhonda!!! I’m turning 61 in 2 days. I’ve completed 4 weeks and lost 10 lbs. It’s slow and steady, but I’m okay with that. I’m the same as you….hit my highest weight after menopause. I’ve tried so many diets but this one is actually working. I feel so motivated and I’m getting past the 8 lb barrier that I would always hit and then never lose beyond that. The holidays have made it more challenging, but I’ve kept to the plan almost 100%. I’m really motivated this time….especially since I’m getting married (yup….a 61 year old bride), this April 2017. I want to feel fabulous in my dress! 🙂

Your post is really helpful, I downloaded one of the meal plans as well. It encouraged me that you have lost however, slowly. I am proud you’ve been sticking to it for almost 3 weeks that is awesome! Slow is best, I think, that is what I was told by nutritionist friends, anyway. I worked formerly as a nutritionist assistant and learned a great deal as a result. I will stick to that meal plan too and read the book and make variations as I can. I will stick to it as well, I have to lose this weight my back is hurting with the excess weight and I feel terrible about myself. I have let the loss of my Mom keep my focus off taking the best care of myself. I have much to do and to look forward to ahead and I need to be healthy in order to enjoy it. Good Luck with your successes.

    Rhonda,

I’m very encouraged that you have lost 11 pounds, I too have past “mental-pause” and it’s been hard to lose weight. We (older young girls) need to band together and press forward to grab this success and prove that darn metabolic firing mechanism must be abolished. What kind of exercise are your doing? I’m curious. Are you also cooking/preparing meals for others?

    Lynn,

Just read you post about you are getting married. I am 50 this January, I am graduating this Spring from college, been through a horrible divorce several years back, my Mom passes recently, and I promised her I would finish college. This May I should do just that. I am planning to be married to a wonderful man this June. I want to look fabulous in a dress and knock his socks off. I need this mostly for myself. I have a new grandbaby coming this February. I want to be healthy for her and my other grandson. On further, this will help me to be more confident looking for a job. I had been a stay home Mom for almost 30 years. I went back to college to complete a degree I never finished. I am scared no one will hire this “old girl”, very nervous about that.

    Need a new me,

    Hi Laminda!
I too had a major loss this year… lost both my parents this past year. It’s been hard, but my Dad was 100 and my mom 97…so like my dad said, “I can’t live forever”! He had an amazing attitude.
Congratulations on your future graduation and marriage. There is life after divorce!!! Been there, done that.
I’ve been struggling with weight since menopause. I haven’t been able to exercise because I have brutal hip pain for the past 2 years. Still going to doctors to try to find out what is going on with that. I suppose I could exercise my upper body….better get on that!
Don’t worry about re-entering the work force. It’s super scary, but once you get hired, you’ll fall right into the groove. Just be completely honest with potential employers about how you’re feeling. You’ve acquired amazing skills as a stay at home mom, so make sure you bring those to the forefront.
I have hardly cheated at all this week with the holidays, but I’m in a stall with the weight loss. I’ve been following the online free one week menu plan, but there are so many mistakes in it, that I think that may have interfered with my progress. I hope someone revisits it and makes the corrections.
You’re on PS1000, so you’re already on the road to “need a new me”! Keep focused on your goal….baby steps….and one goal at a time. Next goal is to feel fabulous in your wedding dress (my goal too!).
    Keep up the great work!
    Lynn
