    Hi everyone,

I just ordered 2 packages from PS1000 today for my husband and me. We’re so excited. It’s our first time in the program, and we’re really hoping for the best. We each have our own story, and I’ll be encouraging him to add to the forums as well.

We found PS1000 by googling another weight loss program that a coworker of mine is doing. My husband didn’t like how that one sounded, but he came across PS1000 and it sounded like it fit both of our needs and desires. He decided to come on board with me. We just legally married last month and are planning a wedding for January 2018. We want to be looking good and feeling good by that time. We’re both pretty overweight. I, myself, have gained almost 50 lbs since getting off an ADD stimulant last summer and it’s just been awful. I’ve been seeing a doctor for thyroid issues since, but I’m still gaining weight. I’ve never weighed this much in my life and it’s just miserable. I hope to make new friends on here and find the support I need to achieve my weight loss goals and keep it a lifestyle change for me. I’m seriously considering starting a blog about my new journey. Writing has always been a way for me to learn, grow and heal, and it may just help when the going gets tough.

I love these forums! It reminds me of my online college classes. 😀

We finally started this week after Valentine’s Day so we wouldn’t have to face a huge “holiday” obstacle in the beginning. We’re on Day 3 and doing better than I expected. And my poor husband has been surrounded by girl scout cookies at work all day! I picked him up for a midday walk to hopefully relieve some tension from sheer will power. Lol! He’s been on facebook getting all kinds of details for this diet. I don’t have facebook but have been considering getting another account for this. So, I’m curious about caffeine on this diet? I get the no sugar, low carb and low cal thing, but it looks like tea isn’t allowed?? Which is interesting to me because I’m a big green tea drinker (solid hot green tea, nothing added) and it’s always helped to curb appetite for me in my diets. I’ve done my share of diets and still follow health gurus and get all kinds of clean recipes from them often and this diet is very similar to them. The only reason I’ve gained so much weight in such a short period of time is because I shot my thyroid being on a stimulant for the last 4 years and now my body is playing catch up and hates me! lol I finally got off the stimulant last summer because it was becoming a huge problem for me. I knew I’d gain a ton of weight because I tried getting off of it before and gained a ton of weight in just a few months, but this time it’s even worse. Health and fitness has been a priority of mine for most of my life and I thought I could handle getting off the stimulant for good and keeping my weight down. I was doing really good at first but then I moved and had to quit my job because of the thyroid issues. It’s been a whirlwind to say the least!

Hi Ashley! We have teas available on our member site for Sale, they are called the AM Rush and the PM Zen Teas and are quite fabulous! Other teas are allowed in the program as well! Just as a heads up that you don’t have to give that up!

    Best,
    Lauren

Hi Ashley! Bummer on the thyroid. I take meds for mine. Helps a ton since thyroid issues can also lead to depression. Take care of yourself!

I drink tea and coffee. I’m down to one cup of coffee, but I’ll drink a couple cups of tea too. My understanding was that if it is caffeinated tea you can’t include it in your liquid count. So I still have to guzzle over 100 ounces of water on top of that.

That is awesome that you have a partner in healthy living!! It will make life so much easier. I had to sit in McDonalds tonight watching my husband eat a Big Mac, fries and pop. Tempting, but I was happy to go home and eat my apple and almonds. And not having that continuous food guilt feeling felt great!!! I guess I was used to feeling bad about myself over making poor food choices. Now I can feel great about making healthy choices!!!

    Huge welcome to you! 🙂

Thank you for the heads up, Lauren!

Vanessa, that totally makes sense because caffeine is a diuretic and depletes you of water making you have to drink more. I get it now that you’ve said that! Lol. I just started thyroid meds a few months ago and they are working well. And I have high estrogen levels and my doctor just put me on progesterone and it’s making a world of difference! I only wish I had known sooner. Yes, my husband wants to lose weight as much as I do and we both try to support each other as much as we can. We both have about the same amount to lose as well. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him. I am very blessed in that regard. He’s just amazing. He’s even been cooking for us and helping me clean up. I know it’s hard to be around people that aren’t supportive or don’t understand how much you want to make it happen and how hard it is for you, but you can do it! I usually give myself about two weeks until the cravings really start going away and I can pretty much be around most foods after that without much thought to it, but those two weeks can just be a nightmare for me. I’ve been able to pick up little tips and tricks here and there throughout my struggles with my weight though. I’m just praying it sticks this time! We have a plan to make it work and I’m hoping for the best.
