AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0I am totally new and really looking forward to getting started with this program. I hope you will all be patient and supportive as I am 59 and feel I have been on a diet all my life to no avail. I so want this to be different. I want this to be the begging of a new way of life for me. I know it will be a lot of work but I am ready, I hope!!!
March 6, 2017 at 1:09 am #13391You got this and we got you. This a lifestyle not a diet and it will take you the distance. Prep and Plan out your meals I shop on Saturday and cook on Sunday for the week and have lost almost 30 pounds going into my last 30 days. The support that you will find from this group is like nothing I have ever seen in my life. I have about another 20 pounds to go so I will probably have to do a second round but I am ready. I am 51 and ready to live the second half of my life in style.
March 6, 2017 at 1:50 am #13395Hi Shirley! Jennifer is right about planning and cooking in advance. Invest in some good containers to portion out your food. Also get a food scale. I have been shocked at how easy it has been – and I have to deal with my husband not being on the plan. It is a little tough when he pulls out my favorite chips.
Read through the forums for ideas and answers. I have a simple grocery list and I try to be a little consistent with my meals. The recipes are good for ideas. I love to cook, so I am having fun with trying new foods and meals.
Once you have committed to the decision to be healthy this program will actually be pretty easy for you. And we are here for you. Questions, ideas or support – we want to help you!March 6, 2017 at 3:42 pm #13418
AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Shirley – welcome to the program! You are definitely not the oldest person on this plan. This is a new lifestyle you are committing to and I’m sure you will have enormous success if you plan and prep. The forums on this site and the support from facebook are great. There are inspirational stories and wonderful recipes. Wishing you the best!

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Thanks Tammy. I have been on the FB page today and got some really good info. They had some excel files to help with meal plans and grocery list. Went to grocery today. Kroger has a large area of organic and healthy items that met criteria well.
