Half my body weight is 150. How the heck do I drink 150 oz in a day? After I take into account my sleep and time at the gym and the half hour of no water 3 times a day for the drops, I have 11.5 hours left. I don’t know…I just can’t fathom drinking and peeing that much! Any suggestions?

I remember feeling the same way. the way I handled it was to fill bottles at the start of each day to equal the amount needed and I divided out by the hours what I needed to drink before the end of the day. It is difficult when you start and there are time that I am pounding the water at the end of the day just to get it in, but I make sure i do. Having the bottles filled in advance really does help gauge the daily progress.
Bottoms Up!!! 😉 Good LuckAugust 23, 2016 at 2:47 pm #8802Okay, I’ll try that.
August 23, 2016 at 11:55 pm #8828The 1/2 your body weight in ounces is usually a great way to gauge how much water we need to drink, however if you have much more weight to lose you don’t need to try and do that, especially if you are forcing yourself to drink it. A good indicator will be the color of your urine, it it is clear you are drinking too much and your kidneys are likely working too hard, it should be a pale yellow. It is possible to overdo it with water intake so don’t go overboard. I would try and aim for 100 ounces I think that is totally doable, however if you feel thirsty beyond that make sure to drink more! Many fruits and vegetables contain a lot of water and that contributes to what you need also. I hope this helps alleviate the burden of feeling like you need to chug water constantly.

August 24, 2016 at 6:26 pm #8840No problem! Like I said if you find yourself more thirsty then by all means drink more, but don’t be drinking water for the sake of getting to 150 oz that could actually be bad for you later on. When you get closer to your goal weight you will probably be able to do half your weight in ounces.

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0I keep a 63 ounce container of water at my desk when at work, and next to me on the end table when at home. I find it is easier than I thought it would be to finish up 2 bottles a day this way.
December 30, 2016 at 5:18 pm #10715I can’t drink 100+ ounces of water in a day either, so I fill an insulated 16 oz. mug with cold water and keep it with me. I refill it twice and make sure I also drink at least 8 oz. of liquid at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This way it doesn’t feel like my back teeth are floating and I’m living for bathroom breaks.

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0I found that even with a filled water bottle I was forgetting to sip from it so I set an hourly alarm on my fitbit. I drink when I’m thirsty but these little reminders also help me get up to the ounces I need.
January 17, 2017 at 2:41 pm #11401I just line up six 16.9 ounce bottles of water in the morning and I do not drink anything else all day until I get them drank. I carry they everywhere and even have some in the car just in case. At first you do go to the bathroom a lot but that slows as you body gets use to it.
February 3, 2017 at 1:52 am #11924I think I’m going to need to set some reminders on my work schedule to remind me to drink water. I always have my water with me, but I forget. And my work calendar connects to my phone, so even when I’m not actually sitting at my desk, I will be reminded. I bought a Contigo Ashland Water Infuser bottle. I love it, but just have trouble drinking as much as I need to, even with lemon/cucumber in it. So I’m going to try this idea!
