    Lisa, your confession resonated with me, because at one time, I too couldn’t imagine going a day without alcohol. Today I celebrate 8+ years of sobriety! Life had never been as good as the past 8 years have been. I attribute it all to getting and staying sober through my awesome Home Group of AA! Best wishes to you in your weightless journey and your journey through life. It is all SO worth it!!

    My husband and I were seeking improved energy and a solid direction for nutrition and a well balanced lifestyle. PS1000 has thus far been the answer for our family…I appreciate that the book doesn’t shy away from being very direct and black and white about how to achieve success with this program. After 5 weeks we are true believers in that claim that this is a “lifestyle” and approach to wellness…no quick fix, although success does happen quickly. We can’t stop talking to our friends about how great we feel and how the directives have eliminated so many bad habits and strong holds in our lives. Looking forward to more success and a life well balanced!

Yes I love that it is such an easy to understand approach, I also love that this lifestyle includes whole foods and excludes foods that are processed. As a Nutritionist, this is always my approach.     Hi my name is Donna. I live in the San Bernardino Mountains. I work fulltime as a bookkeeper at a local water agency. I care for my Mom also. She is 90. My husband passed away 8 years ago. I have a daughter and son-in-law also. I just started the plan on April 4th. I’m excited to be on this plan and I am encouraged by all the postings I’ve read and by the support here and on facebook. It is also awesome that everyone posts recipes too. I’ve been overweight for many years and hope to lose 65 lbs.

    Hi Everyone
    I started about 3 days ago. I was always thin, size 4 or 6 and then with mid life and stress and I
    think insulin resistance, I have gained about 45 lbs. None of my clothes fit any longer and I am depressed.
    Starting a new chapter and new life to eat better and take care of my self.
    I live in NY and I am married with 2 teenagers. Work full time in a stressful job.

    Hi everyone! Today is day 1 for me. I’m from Reno, NV and have gained a ton of weight over the last year. Weight gain largely attributed to my wine habit. Not going to lie, I’m kinda scared to give it up. Everything else I can handle. I would like to lose 50 lbs. to get off of blood pressure medicine and just plain get healthy. I have 6 kiddos that need me healthy, a full-time job, and am working on launching a business. To do all of this, I need focus and clarity and I haven’t had since before my triplets 8 years ago. So, today is the start of my journey at working on myself and I’m grateful to be a part of this group.

    Hello everyone, my name is Debra and I am from a small town in Minnesota. I have been on the program for one week today. I managed to stay above 800 and below 1000. I have not experienced any cravings. My end goal is to loose over 40 pounds. Has anyone had problems remembering to take the drops?? I sometimes forget to take them, if I miss a couple of times will this effect my weight loss?

    @dlbergsnev Welcome to the group Debra. Everyone’s experience is a little different with the drops. For me I experienced the greatest results when I hit my schedule with the drops and slower when I missed them. Not sure if coincidental or something to it. What I ended up doing was finding a way to have an alarm to remind me. For me it was setting reminder alerts on my Fitbit. You could always setup reminders on smart phone or other device. For me I have them set for 7a, 10:30a, and 2:30p. Just figure out what schedule works best for you but make sure at least 15 minutes before any meal.

    Hello everyone! I’m Burcu and it’s been 5 days since I started Phase 1. I feel like I’m still adjusting to the meal planning and the food restriction.
    A couple of days before starting this plan I began to use an app called my plate to track what I eat and drink. Now I’m very well aware of what I’m consuming!!! I couldn’t decrease my daily calorie intake down to 1000, but managed to go down from 2000-1800 cal to 1200 so far.
