Great job Burcu you are on the right track.
April 19, 2016 at 1:55 pm #3867Hi. My name is Kelly and I started the PS1000 yesterday. After 2 kids I have about 45 pounds to lose. After reading many of the posts I think I need a reality check. Was hoping to lose 45 pounds in the 90 days of Phase 1. Is that not realistic? The program made it sound as if it were but the posts I’m seeing above makes it seem like it takes much longer. Would be better to set my expectations now versus getting discouraged with the rate of the weight loss and quitting (which is what happens to me on all other diets).
April 20, 2016 at 8:27 am #3885@kdavis033 Kelly, it took me about 6 months to lose 45 lbs. It is much more healthy and easier long term maintenance to lose 2-3lbs per week. This would probably be more realistic expectations. This is an exceptional program with great support group. I think you will be much more happy with these goals. Welcome to the group.
April 20, 2016 at 2:18 pm #3887On day 3 and have a few questions. On phase 1, are the following foods ok? Additionally does anyone have a phase 1 recipe for a dressing for salad? I’m not picky but just need something so not eating dry lettuce, tomatoes, etc.
Honey
Hummus
Natural peanut butter
MustardThanks!
April 21, 2016 at 3:45 pm #3938Hi,
I’m Jamie and I live near Albany NY (tired of the cold). I am 57 and have 8 grown children and 12 grandkids. I have been on a roller coaster since I went through menopause 4 years ago and put on 40 pounds. I was previously one of the fortunate ones who could eat pretty much anything and not gain weight. I have been through Ideal Protein, Weight Watchers (which wasn’t too bad, but the point was a pain) and each time put more back on. I know how to eat and have eaten pretty well, healthy, organic etc. most of my life, but like homebaked goodies too much.
This is the first time I feel like a diet is laid out in a way I can relate to, stick to, and eat well. I feel really hopeful I can get my hormones and metabolism in a better place again. I am surrounded by a thin family who eats whatever they want! I am a trauma chaplain and active in travel internationally at times (really hard disaster sites) and I need to be in good shape!
I am really excited about being here with a one year goal of being able to climb some of those trails in the mountains again by Summer of 17.Thank you, thank you,
JamieApril 21, 2016 at 5:01 pm #3944Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I am from Canada but currently living in Texas. I just ordered my program today and I am really excited to get started and see actual results. I have tried absolutely everything in the past but nothing has worked long term.
April 21, 2016 at 6:55 pm #3958Hi Kelly, Honey is not allowed, Hummus is allowed (homemade as the store one can be packed with additives), since peanuts are not on the list I don’t thin Natural peanut butter would be allowed either, I know Mustard powder is allowed so maybe as long as it is not loaded with additives or sugar it should be fine!
April 21, 2016 at 6:56 pm #3959Welcome!
April 22, 2016 at 12:01 am #3987@misslizz Welcome to the group and Texas. Like you, I have tried many loss plans and this by far I have found to be the best. In addition to the plan you will find some wonderful people here and great recipes to help you succeed. The support is critical to staying on track. However, attitude is the foundation to it all. You must keep your focus and believe in your goals. Don’t get hung up on the scale. Think about how you feel, how your clothes fit. I encourage you to take photos to keep for yourself. It is a great feeling to see the results when looking back at where you have come from. While it is the best plan I have found, I will not lie to you and say it will be easy. You will have challenges but keep your eye on the prize and you too will know the joy so many of us have come to know. Stay strong my friend.
April 22, 2016 at 2:50 pm #3989Thanks Evelina! Greek yogurt is going to be harder to eat without honey but I’ll give it a shot. Also, I’m 5 days in and lost 6 pounds (and that was with honey and store bought hummus). Can’t wait to see the results when I cut those out 🙂
April 22, 2016 at 6:05 pm #3994@kdavis033 what an awesome start Kelly. Keep up the great work.
April 23, 2016 at 7:30 pm #4009Hi all! I am Gale, retired wife and mother. I’m the indoor artistic one who loves food, junk food, and ice cream! So, here I am after a year of gaining 30 lbs. as a revolt after 6 months at the gym with a personal trainer. Another fail, but I just decided to enjoy life and eat last year. I didn’t fail at that! It was a wonderful time, but then I realised a half mile walk had me breathless and my feet, knees and ankles hurt a lot all the time! My Dr. at checkup time suggested Weight Watchers. So, I searched for reviews on diets and found PS1000 rated better than any! Ok, time to do this for my health instead of looks this time. I am 16 days in on phase one and down 13 pounds! Amazing! And the support of others makes it so much easier than I ever would have expected. Good to be here.

April 25, 2016 at 11:35 pm #4067@gale Welcome Gale to the group. Most of us have traveled the same road. Reason we are here too. Now it is time to feel better and enjoy more life. Get ready to become one of the proud losers. Glad to have you with us.
April 26, 2016 at 6:39 pm #4113Hello all!! I started P1 about a week ago and can already see improvement. After leaving the military in 2002, I had gotten into a 14 year rut with drinking copious amounts of alcohol and eating unhealthy. Recently I took on the mindset of getting myself back into shape so that I will be around longer for my 6 year old son, and this program is definitely helping with my moving in the right direction. I really enjoy reading the posts on here and appreciate the fact that there is the support out there through this.
April 26, 2016 at 11:43 pm #4138Hello
My name is Barbara, I am just starting (well actually still waiting for things to arrive) and thought I would look around the site to see what I need to get ready. Looking forward to getting to a healthier weight. Thanks in advance for the help.
