AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Hi!
I’m almost 58, heavier than I’ve ever been in my life (including all of my pregnancies!), and have tried everything to lose weight. I used to be an avid runner and have decided to get that going again, too. I am looking forward to this journey. Nice to meet y’all! (also from Texas!)
July 26, 2017 at 12:17 pm #18447Welcome Run Girl. I’m in my 2nd week and feel great. Amazing that I don’t feel hungry all the time! I haven’t gotten down to the 1000 cals per day, but cut my intake in half. I’m eating about 1450 per day. I lost 6.5 pounds the first week, (I’m 66). I would say to prepare and get ready to start, keep doing whatever, eat that ice cream and tell yourself you will start on x day! Good luck.

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Thanks Laura! I hope I can do that well. I’m trying to get mentally ready for this. If I do well, hope to get my husband on this, too, as we both need to lose weight.
July 27, 2017 at 12:38 pm #18455Hi, I just ordered. I’ll be 52 next month and I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. I’m tired of avoiding all the mirrors I pass so I don’t have to look at how big I’ve gotten. I’m looking forward to this new journey and getting back to be healthy again. Thanks, Jamie
July 27, 2017 at 1:16 pm #18459Hi Run Girl,
I’m on my first week of the plan and have lost 7lbs. (I’m 64). I was so excited to see the weight drop so fast which happened in the first few days. Now it’s at a stand still but that’s ok since a lot of people are reporting they have lost this amount in a month. I must admit that seeing such a drop all at once then nothing has taken me back a step but being on diets through out my life I know how this goes. I’m not going to stop my journey as I have a goal that I have set for myself and am anxious to hit it. I really do like this plan and as stated its only been a week. Good luck to you.July 27, 2017 at 1:33 pm #18460
AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0I, too, think that is very typical for most diets is to lose a lot the first week, then it slows way down. At least, that has been my experience. I’m glad you like this plan. I should get my package tomorrow! I can’t wait to get started on my journey, too!
Thanks!

July 31, 2017 at 8:55 pm #18538Good afternoon everyone, I am 48 years old. I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago. It caused me terrible stomach pains. I was well overweight. I am 5’4″ and weighed 203lbs. I was a size 16 and really ashamed of myself. I went on for well over 2 years with stomach issues. I finally got upset with myself and went somewhat paleo. I started walking almost 5 miles a day (in increments).I started doing Zumba. I was so happy with myself. It’s been 2 years and I had dropped over 30 pounds. Well I then started eating again. I am in menopause and having terrible side effects. My job is getting stressful. All I want to do is eat. I stopped eating “healthy”. I have gained 15 to 20 pounds. I am getting depressed. I want… no I need to get this weight plus additional weight off.
I just ordered this and am looking forward to it coming in. I know about healthy eating. I am scared of the 1000 calories. But I know I will get there. I am looking forward to the support of everyone and giving my support to everyone as well. I want to wish everyone luck with this plan.
August 2, 2017 at 10:09 pm #18589Hello All,
So I just ordered today, we shall see. I am 56, almost 57, and following two knee replacements 7 years ago, afraid my weight has just crept up and up. So, a few questions, I note that a lot of the plans have both smoothies and lots of fish..what is the alternative to both? I do not like very many fish dishes (will eat tuna fish) but I just don’t care for most fish.
Also, I like Ketogenic eating, what is the impact going to be of this program if I stick to much of my keto diet style? Low to no carbs is important to me.
Last, HELLO AGAIN FROM TEXAS.
August 3, 2017 at 7:59 pm #18594Hi Randy,
Welcome to the program! If you do not like fish (I do not either) it’s okay. Just get your protein from the other approved proteins in the booklet. Same goes for the smoothies.. they are just there for your convenience if you do like them! Have protein instead like almonds, or some fruit, etc.
Try and follow the plan to your best ability and good luck!
August 5, 2017 at 6:09 pm #18618Hi,
I’m 51 and ready to make a lifestyle change for good. I’ve tried many different programs, but can’t seem to stick with them. I have a family history of obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and several other health risk. Over the last year I’ve managed to lose 30 pounds, but have recently put back on 15. With the original weight loss I was able to get off my two medications I was taking for diabetes. That was a big win and I don’t want to risk having an abnormal glucose level or high A1C. So…I think after everything I’ve read PS1000 is something I will be able to maintain. Calorie restriction seems to be manageable and so does the actual eating plan. I’m looking forward to getting my stuff in the mail this week.August 6, 2017 at 5:12 pm #18629Hello everyone,
Waiting on my order and trying to get pumped up for this journey! I am almost 67 and have been trying to lose weight over the past two years, but struggling with these last pounds and being able to keep it off. Find I keep losing and gaining and haven’t been able to get to where I think I need to be and stay there. Recently had a little scare with health issue and know I have to get control and take care of myself. So weight and exercise are at the top of the list. This plan sounds like it can work to help get me back on track and to my goals. My health is important to me now more than ever and I am looking forward to getting started and to getting to know all of you who will be sharing this journey. So good luck to us all and may we find the encouragement and support we need with each other and the plan.
August 6, 2017 at 7:46 pm #18631Hi @dbwfit4life- I’m waiting on my order too. I’m really excited to get started and make this a lifestyle. I always go back to my old habits and then those turn into a daily routine (disaster). I feel like I’ve been on a diet my entire life. I’m looking forward to this journey.
August 7, 2017 at 4:59 pm #18648Hi,
I’m so ready to get started too! Hope my package shows up today. We will have to help each other stay motivated. Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. This forum and the facebook page seems to have a lot of good support that I am sure I will be needing. Good luck!August 24, 2017 at 10:04 am #19116Hi @dbwfit4life,
How is everything going for you? I feel like food prep is the key. This plan is easy to follow, but I struggle when I don’t plan ahead. - AuthorPosts
