Hey, new member here. Just curious if lunch meat is allowed as a protein? I would get the fresh lunch meat at the deli counter instead of the packaged kind. And I would get boar’s head which I’ve heard is the least processed and best lunch meat you can get. It would just make my life so much easier packing lunch for work if I could just do some lunch meat instead. Obviously dinner I would do normal meat like chicken and turkey but for lunch when I’m not at home, I would love to be able to have lunch meat.
Thanks in advance for the replies 🙂
February 20, 2017 at 2:25 am #12653Hey Nicole! This is a great question and I’m still waiting for the answer! It seems like no one is watching this particular topic forum since my question wasn’t answered either. I’m going to write to customer service to see if we can get some answers!
February 20, 2017 at 3:37 am #12655Hey Nicole,
I contacted customer service since I wanted an answer to your question. Below is the response:Lunch meats are higher in sodium and might have additives therefore it is considered a caution item and should be avoided if possible.
February 26, 2017 at 9:47 pm #13000Thanks so much for doing that Vanessa! I’m a little sad the lunch meat is a no no, because that would have made life easier… oh well, I’ll survive. Thanks again for helping me out Vanessa! Good luck with the dieting 🙂
February 28, 2017 at 9:23 pm #13124Lunch meat is very high in sodium, so it is good to stay away from! Phase 2 it might be able to be added in moderation!

April 24, 2017 at 1:59 pm #15429I was hopeful when I saw this topic, but as I figured … not so much. My current plan is to meal prep for the week on Sundays and then have lunch prepared for the week. I made the cinnamon turkey chili for lunch for this week. I’m thinking just double recipes and then have leftovers for the week’s lunch.
June 11, 2017 at 9:05 pm #17224I bought sliced Fresh Direct’s Organic Oven Roasted Turkey, which only contains turkey, water and sea salt (300mg) and eat 2 slices as a snack (50 calories each). It’s a bit pricier ($13.99/lb) but super yummy. You could try making your own too.
I hope that helps! - AuthorPosts
