I started the program today. I thought it would be easiest to use the sample 7-day menu provided online, but it uses a lot of pricey ingredients. I’m going with it for this week to give me time to figure out a plan, but I don’t think I’ll be using it as a whole going forward.
I like the recipe tab. I wish that it had a little more filter capabilities. It would be great if it could include things like “make ahead options” and “easy preparation” options.
This week will be a big challenge starting a new diet program. It will be even more challenging given the fact that so many of the breakfasts and lunches in the 7-day menu plan require cooking, and since none of the menu items are repeated, I’ll be doing a lot of cooking each night.
I picked this plan because I didn’t just want to lose weight. I wanted to learn to prepare my own healthy food. I wish that the plan had better tools for helping with that. It isn’t an easy plan to start from that perspective because you not only have to plan daily menus that have the right combination of proteins, fats, veggies, etc., you also have to ensure that you keep your calorie count within the right range. It isn’t enough to just pick the appropriate number of each item off the approved list.
I think I will put together a tool in Excel to help me with menu planning. If I plug in all the approved choice options, then I can set it up to count the calories for the day once I’ve picked all of my options. I really think that the site should have some sort of menu planning tool available. I can’t believe that the only place where the plan is laid out (including the approved foods and daily counts) is in the book. If we have access to an online community here, shouldn’t that be here? I can’t access Facebook at work due to firewall issues, so that isn’t an option for me.
January 3, 2017 at 4:24 pm #10882One thing that might help is the MyFitness pal app. You can plug in all the things you eat and it counts all the calories for you. You can plan your day ahead and at it all to the app a day in advance and you can see what things you might want to add or subtract from your day. You can get this app from the Google play store or the apple app store. It’s free!
One thing I am trying besides that is a simple checklist on the “notes” on my phone. I just check of every time I eat a protein, veggie, fat etc.
Today is day two for me, we are all in this together!
January 3, 2017 at 9:27 pm #10926Good luck on the program. I have high hopes for this one. I’m excited about starting a diet plan that gets me in the habit of preparing healthy meals – not just eating ones that were prepared for me.
January 9, 2017 at 8:57 pm #11152Hello everyone!
Today is my first day too! I anxiously waited for 9 days for the products to arrive. One of the droppers was broken but I picked up some at the drugstore so no problem there.
About 15 years ago I lost 15 pounds on weight watchers. I am only 5’1″ so that made a huge difference! I loved it when my clothes got loose and I felt so good. I kept that weight off for years because I had changed my eating habits. But then little by little a pound here and a pound there, and my husband always buying junk foods, I gained it back. Then menopause struck and the darn pounds would not come back off! I exercise regularly and walk daily but these ‘senior’ pounds are stubborn as all get out!
My cousin just lost 30 pounds on Slimgenics but that is very expensive. I did not want that! So in researching, I discovered PS1000 and read the incredible reviews and so here I am.
My husband will not be accompanying me on this diet. He needs to lose about 40 pounds and eats junk daily. I suspect he will tire of me eating differently so wish me luck there. I will have to have some tasty suppers and he can add his potatoes or noodles I guess.
Good luck to everyone!

January 10, 2017 at 1:00 am #11165On this first day I made the green bean and shrimp stir fry. Added mushrooms. Not too bad. But I forgot the drops before the evening meal; remembered the two other times. Ramping up the water intake now.
January 10, 2017 at 10:56 pm #11212All the healthy cooking is definitely new for me. It’s part of the reason I decided to do this program. I’ve been successful on diets like Jenny Craig before, but then when I stop the prepared foods, I don’t have any good new habits. I’m hoping that this will really help me long term too. My husband decided to try it too, and he’s waiting on his drops to get here. I’m hoping to get a good head start on him since I’m sure he’ll lose at a faster rate than me.

January 24, 2017 at 12:11 pm #11648Approach this as a lifestyle not a diet. There are countless other programs that are easier to do because they provide you with ready made options and require very little planning or thinking for that matter you just eat what they give you. This plan make you think and plan out what you eat. A lot of posts discuss the fact that you have to eat high priced foods and in the beginning that is true but I think I am worth it in the long run to be a healthier version of me. It is great that you and your husband will succeed together just don’t make this all about the numbers on the scale and who is losing more make this about the fact that you are giving yourselves longer to be together and do fun things and let the lifestyle begin. Good luck to both of you.
