Hello, My husband and I are starting Phase 1 this coming Monday too I am just trying to get us prepared this weekend. Is pineapple allowed in phase 1? Has anyone ever used it as a substitution? I just cut one up yesterday and hoping to not have to waste it.

    Thanks.

    Hi Shannon,
Pineapple is not on the approved list for phase 1. I attached a picture of the approved fruits :-). Hope this is helpful.

Pineapple probably has too much sugar.

Sadly all tropical fruits, plus melons are not approved until phase 2.

Just wondering do you substitute at all during Phase 1? I am only 4 days in and I have not substituted yet but I can already see how this may become boring.

    Hi Shannon,
My best piece of advice is to go to the member store and download the menu plans. They give you a variety of ideas on foods. Also, take a look at the different recipes to spark some creativity. There are many fun recipes to take a look at. This is just some ideas so that you do not get bored.

    Best,

I do eat it occasionally and I am on phase 1. I eat it because of the digestive enzymes in it.
If I do eat it, I eat it 1st thing in the morning with Cottage cheese to slow sugar absorption.

    🙂
