I stay so very busy that I have had to work on getting ready for this diet a little at a time whenever I have a spare moment here and there. When I say busy, I mean mom to a 2 yr. old, working full time with 2 part time/spare time side jobs and a husband whose day job coupled with his “Mr. Fix-It” job at home is even busier than I am!
.
However, I hope I am finally getting close enough (hopefully starting next week or the week after) to being ready to “do this” that I can go ahead and introduce myself. Well, I suppose I sort of just did. Ha! I’ve been on a diabetic diet when I was pregnant thanks to gestational diabetes. I’ve also tried the 20/20 diet which worked well in the short term, but I’m not great at turning this into a lifestyle. Especially after only a few weeks of eating from a very limited menu. So, this is my next step.

Did you all feel as overwhelmed at first? It sounds simple in theory until you start to chart things on a meal plan (I’m trying to use gatheredtable.com to save time in the long run) and create a schedule to make sure you fit everything in, then make a list of all the vitamins and supplements that you need to take in addition to the drops, and track it all via journaling when its done (I’m going to try and use fitnesspal). I almost feel like I already have another part time job! LOL- This topic was modified 8 years, 4 months ago by Laura Shipp.

August 13, 2016 at 4:10 am #8544It will get easier. It does take some planning but it’s also teaching a new way of living. A better way of living. Once you get everything down its not as hectic. Hang in there.
