AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Quest protein powder is a great one that meets the criteria in the handbook.

April 21, 2017 at 2:15 pm #15271Hi Trina,
The guidelines for choosing a protein powder are: Less than 4 grams of carbohydrates, 20+ grams of protein, and less than 120 calories per scoop. Check the label on Xocai to see if it falls within this. If it does- you are all set!

April 21, 2017 at 2:55 pm #15280I’ve got a protein powder that is 7g of carbs, which is obviously nearly double the guidelines, but hits all the other guidelines. How much will those extra carbs throw me off? I’d prefer to use up what I have and then purchase instead of just having tons of protein powder around.
June 28, 2017 at 10:39 pm #17750This is only my 2nd week. I finally found one that I like….it is Vega Protein and greens, Chocolate. I got it at Walmart. The Vanilla had 140 cals. The Chocolate, 120 cals. it fits all the guidelines and i find it quite tasty. i do use my Bullet to mix it, and add TB Greek yogurt and 3/4 c unsweetened Almond milk and fruit sometimes. I had tried one earlier that was entirely TOO SWEET . Both use Stevia as sweetener, but the Vega is not as sweet

AnonymousInactive@Karma Coins: 0Biochem whey protein. It is 90 calories, 1 gm of carbs and 20 gms of protein. It is at whole foods
July 9, 2017 at 7:03 pm #18019I use the Quest – I like peanut butter flavor and vanilla also. There are a few other flavors. A website called Vitacost has the 32 oz size of these for about the same price as Walmart, only WM’s is only 16 oz. So you get twice as much at Vitacost for the money! I’ve done business with them for a number of years, never been disappointed.
July 12, 2017 at 7:29 pm #18131I had posted my choice of Vega Protein and Plant. I mistakenly told you I added Fage’ Greek yogurt to my shake…..but I Do not! I also said the Vanilla Vega had more calories than the Chocolate….BUT i was wrong . The Vanilla actually has 110 calories NOT 140 like I thought. Big Difference ! And IT is SO Good! I even make the “pancake” recipe with it I found on our PS 1000 Recipes I LOVE them…yum!
Glad you are on board with us, Penny.
