I just finished reading the book on the plan and I am wondering how much protein to have per day. If I understand it correctly, it can be as little as 5 oz., 1 oz for every meal and snack up to 25 oz. if I have 5 oz. at every meal.

I would stick to the higher end (5 oz per meal) this done 5 times in the day will end with 25 oz at the end of the day. However if you simply can’t stomach 5 oz at EVERY meal then at least make your main meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) to have 5 oz per meal and get say 2 oz in for your snacks…ending with a total of 19 oz.

Protein in this plan is key to staying full and dropping fat much faster! I hope this clarifies the question. If not let me know.

    Thanks Jessica.
I see I need to increase my protein intake both for the main meals and the snacks.
I also have been counting 2 tablespoons of hummus as a protein and 1/2 fat, and after reading your reply I know that was incorrect and
I will be having 2 oz. of fish, meat, or beans for snacks instead.
Are processed meats, and chickpeas allowed on the program?

No processed meats, chickpeas (garbanzo beans) yes 1/2 cup would the be portion 🙂 and count towards a protein serving. Yes stick to fish, meat and beans for a snack! Always good choices 🙂

    Hi Jessica,
I using black bean noodles (instead of black beans)- value is in high protein, organic, high fibre, and shirataki noodles, water and glucomannan, when I feel very hungry as those are 0 calories. Black bean noodles are from Explore-Asian. Shirataki noodles, any with pure content.

Hope that this could be used for phase 1?

    Many thanks,
    Marina

It sounds like they are probably ok but I would need to check the ingredients label for let you know for sure. Main thing is are there high or any sugar content in these?
